The Ethiopian Aviation Academy on Thursday graduated 61
cabin crew and 38 marketing trainees. On the occasion, Ethiopian CEO Tewolde
Gebremariam said a premier aviation academy is being built on the continent as
part of the Vision 2025 of supporting the development of the aviation industry
in Ethiopia and in Africa with the critical skilled personnel.
Tewolde said the academy will have an annual enrollment
capacity of 4,000 trainees by 2025 of which half will be third party
admissions. The Ethiopian Aviation Academy was inaugurated in 1956 and has been
providing trainings to pilots, maintenance technicians, cabin crew, marketing,
and other aviation professionals for its own need and for other airlines.
Ethiopian Airlines
made its maiden international flight to Cairo in 1946 and now the Airline
provides dependable services to 70 international destinations
